Fr Cyril Elkington, RIP

It is with sadness, but trusting in the loving mercy of God that we advise that Father Cyril Elkington died on Saturday 11 March. Fr Cyril was a long-standing member of the Hospitalite and for a long time was the deputy director to Raymond Lawrence who was the Pilgrimage Director. In later years, he came with us as a hotel AP. He was a priest for Southwark Archdiocese and celebrated his 90th birthday last year. He was a lovely man and a great priest. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Fr David Hutton, RIP

From Fr Philip Glandfield: “It is with sadness that I have to let you know that Fr David Hutton, formerly the Southwark Diocesan Pilgrimage Director (Nov 1999 to August 2008) died on the 1st March, Ash Wednesday, following the return of his cancer some months ago.” Please pray for Fr David, his family and his friends. Please pray for Theresa’s daughter, Natalie. She recently underwent an operation, but unfortunately, Natalie became very unwell overnight Saturday/Sunday. Went by ambulance to Royal Berks. Surgeon operated late Sunday night. Currently on life support. The surgeon has advised that she is very sick but feels more optimistic than he did before she went to theatre. Please pray for Natalie, her parents and brothers. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for Natalie.

Celia Depuis

Please keep Celia Depuis in your prayers. Sister Maureen McNally has been advised by Celia’s sister that she is now seriously unwell. Celia was a nurse on our pilgrimage for many years and is a long-standing member of the CA Hospitalite. Sister Maureen will be visiting Celia and will tell her that the CA are praying for her – which she knows will give her great comfort. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.
